Retail Assistants is looking for a confident, relatable and engaging On-Camera Content Creator / Presenter for a new South African consumer brand.
You MUST be comfortable appearing in the videos yourself.
We're looking for someone who can become one of the faces of the brand's social media content, helping us shoot a large bank of short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram.
This is not a behind-the-camera content creator or video editing position.
What you'll do
You'll appear on camera and help us create a series of short, engaging videos covering topics such as:
- What the brand is
- How it works
- How to get started
- Breaking down different features
- Answering frequently asked questions
- Explaining common misconceptions
- Different customer scenarios
- “Did you know?” videos
- Educational content
- Conversational explainers
- TikTok trends adapted to the brand
- Fun, relatable content
- Strong hooks designed to stop people scrolling
We'll provide you with the information you need to understand the brand.
You'll then help us turn that information into content that feels simple, natural, relatable and easy to understand.
We're looking for someone who is
- Confident appearing on camera
- Warm and relatable
- Trustworthy and professional
- Naturally conversational
- Full of personality
- Able to explain things simply
- Comfortable speaking directly to an audience
- Able to learn a brand and explain how it works
- Comfortable filming multiple videos during one shoot
- Familiar with TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Able to deliver strong hooks naturally
- Creative and willing to contribute ideas
You don't need to be an influencer
Follower count is NOT important.
You don't need thousands of followers.
You don't need to post the content on your personal accounts.
The content will primarily be created for and published on the brand's own TikTok and Instagram channels.
We're hiring you because of your personality, communication skills and ability to create great on-camera content.
This is a recurring content opportunity
We're not looking for someone to appear in just one video.
We want to shoot multiple pieces of content during each shoot and potentially work with the right creator on an ongoing basis.
For example, one shoot may produce multiple TikToks/Reels that are then released over several weeks.
Pay
This is a paid content opportunity.
Rates will depend on:
- Your experience
- Shoot duration
- Number of videos/content pieces
- Scope of the project
- Whether you assist with concepts and scripts
- Whether you also edit
- Client budget
