Turn strong relationships and smart marketing into sustainable income and impact.
At The Big Issue, we create opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage to earn an income, build independence and connect with their community.
Our work includes The Big Issue Street Magazine, Women’s Workforce, The Big Issue Classroom and Community Street Soccer Program. Through Homes for Homes, we also raise funds for social and affordable housing projects across Australia.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing and Partnerships Manager to help grow the income and engagement that supports this work.
About the role
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can manage valuable relationships, deliver integrated campaigns and turn organisational priorities into practical action. This is a 12 month fixed term, part time position with a potential to extend.
You will manage relationships with major corporate partners, supporters and advertisers, ensuring commitments are delivered well and identifying opportunities to increase their support. You will also help deliver marketing and fundraising campaigns across subscriptions, advertising, and magazine sales.
Working across The Big Issue and Homes for Homes, you will oversee the customer service and community fundraising functions and work closely with our editorial, communications and digital marketing teams.
We already have strong ambitions and clear priorities. We need someone who can help us deliver them, strengthen the processes that sit behind the work and ensure campaigns, relationships and customer experiences are managed consistently and effectively.
About you
You may come from marketing, fundraising, partnerships, account management or business development background with hands-on experience in delivery.
You will bring:
You are a self-starter and critical thinker who remains calm under pressure. You plan ahead, take ownership and identify what needs to happen rather than waiting to be directed. You are comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and bring curiosity, initiative and are committed to continuous improvement.
Experience in a not-for-profit, social enterprise, subscription, membership or publishing environment is desirable but not essential.
