Marketing Manager (Digital and Creative)

Salary: R45,000 - R55,000 CTC per month

A fast-moving South African fintech in the payments space is on the verge of something big. The product is live, the users are growing, and a national rollout is underway. This is the moment when the right marketer can walk in, shape the entire creative direction, and put their name to a campaign that reaches the whole country.

The team is small and sharp, decisions move fast, and the founder is hands-on. There is no marketing department to hide in. This role belongs to someone who thrives with a blank canvas, a bold idea, and the drive to see it through from brief to launch.

This is not a management role in the traditional sense. There is no team to delegate to. The successful candidate will be the one doing the work: writing the briefs, driving the creative, running the channels, and showing up as the face of marketing in boardroom-level conversations with a large corporate partner. The brand ambassador will report into this role, and an influencer-led content engine is already generating results. The task now is to build the strategy around it.

Minimum Requirements

• Five or more years of marketing experience with a strong digital focus
• A portfolio of creative campaigns you personally conceptualised and delivered end to end
• Demonstrated ability to take a campaign from brief to live without hand-holding
• Hands-on experience managing social media, content production and digital performance
• Confidence working with senior corporate stakeholders and navigating formal approval processes
• Experience managing budgets and working with external suppliers or freelancers

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and lead campaigns targeting consumers, for the people getting paid and merchants across all channels
• Brief, direct and sign off creative work while continuously bringing fresh ideas to the table
• Own and protect the brand voice across every platform and touchpoint
• Plan and manage social media, YouTube and digital channels with a performance mindset
• Collaborate with the in-house brand ambassador and content studio on video and explainer content
• Track campaign performance and report on results to the founder
• Serve as the primary marketing and PR contact for the corporate partner's marketing and communications teams
• Align co-marketing activity, approvals and timelines in support of the national rollout
• Plan in-market activations, point-of-sale materials and event presence
• Coordinate with operations on the logistics behind activations
• Build and manage the marketing budget in collaboration with the founder
• Manage any agencies and freelancers brought on to support activity
