CIPS Southern Africa is looking for a Marketing and Events Specialist for a Fixed-Term role

What you’ll be doing
You will be key to delivering a high-quality Marketing and Events function for CIPS Southern Africa.
This will include coordinating all events logistics and overseeing the successful roll out of events. Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborating with media partners, while supporting Brand visibility, will be central to the success of this role. Sponsorship supports the events and you will build strong relationships with sponsors and partners to enable this element of the marketing function to grow further.
You will be reporting on the progress of marketing and events and tracking attendance, performance and engagement of attendees and compiling this data into reports that have a positive impact on the Marketing function and the wider CIPS organisation.
This role extends beyond traditional marketing and events functions and requires someone adaptable who is willing to support broader business initiatives when required As a CIPS ambassador at all times, you will be responsible for developing internal and external stakeholder relationships and work closely with the other business teams to ensure the continued success of CIPS Southern Africa.
What we’re looking for You will have demonstrable experience or transferrable skills in Events Management, including project management and the ability to develop and run a project plan with critical milestones. Relevant professional or academic qualification or equivalent practical experience. You will be proficient in MS Office (Excel, MS PowerPoint, Word) with a focus on Events registration and delivery platforms, like Zoom. Clear interpersonal skills showing the ability to build rapport, influence, listen and understand what is required. Good team player and able to work with the broader team to achieve goals and solve problems. Strong written and verbal communication skills and someone that uses initiative.
