About the role
The Irish Cancer Society is looking for a creative, digitally skilled Graphic & Digital Designer to lead the development of its graphic and digital visual assets across every channel. You will work with the Head of Brand & Marketing and the wider marketing team, and support teams across Fundraising, Advocacy, Communications, Patient Education and Engagement, and Patient Services. The role also covers managing external agencies and freelancers and keeping the brand consistent.
Key responsibilities
Design and creative production
- Create digital assets for websites, social media, email and online advertising
- Produce print materials including brochures, leaflets, banners and reports
- Create animations and motion graphics
- Design infographics
- Make sure all work follows the Society's brand guidelines
- Bring creative ideas and keep up to date with design trends
Campaign and content development
- Develop creative concepts for integrated campaigns with stakeholders
- Build campaign toolkits
- Keep creative consistent across all touchpoints and channels
Project management and collaboration
- Manage several projects at once, from brief to delivery
- Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders
- Coordinate printers, photographers and other suppliers
- Oversee external design agencies and freelancers
Asset and brand management
- Maintain the creative asset library
- Support the development of brand guidelines
- Manage licences, trademarks and copyright
Essential requirements
- A degree or similar qualification in design, digital media, art or a related field
- At least five years' experience in a graphic, digital or related creative role
- A strong portfolio covering digital and print design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent tools
- Experience creating digital and motion content
- Experience producing print-ready artwork
- Strong typography, layout, storytelling and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- Experience with traditional, ATL and TTL campaign activation
Desirable
- Photography and photo editing
- Copywriting or content creation
- Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design
