R16,000 ZAR monthly
Role Details: This is a part-time, 25-hour-per-week role based in Pretoria or surrounding areas, starting on 1 October 2026. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–13:00, with some flexibility provided the working day starts no later than 09:00. The salary is R16,000 per month on a one-year contract, with 18 days of annual leave. The role will be in person for a minimum of three months for training, with hybrid work possible thereafter.
Role Description: eLearning Africa is looking for a highly organised, creative and reliable Digital Media & Communications Assistant to support the marketing, digital media and communications work behind Africa’s leading conference on digital education, training and skills development.
The role will focus mainly on social media, digital content creation, Canva design, newsletter writing, stakeholder communication, and support for digital advertising campaigns, including LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads. Strong written English is essential, as the role involves a significant amount of writing, editing and adapting content for different audiences, from social media posts and newsletters to stakeholder communications and campaign materials. Responsibilities are not limited to these areas, and the right person should be willing to assist across the broader marketing and communications function, including occasional administrative support where needed.
As the conference usually takes place in late May, the role may require longer hours during the busy pre-conference and post-conference periods, particularly in the six weeks before and after the event. Any additional hours will, of course, be compensated.
