We’re pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent, Communications Assistant to join the parkrun team, primarily based in our Richmond, London office, at a minimum of three days per week. 

The position is 37.5 hours per week and the salary is £28,860 per annum.

Our mission is to transform lives by empowering people to be active, together, outdoors in their local community; and to protect parkrun for the generations to come. Each and every weekend, we deliver free, weekly timed events that people of all ages and backgrounds can join in. By tackling barriers to participation, we encourage communities to come together and embrace regular physical activity.

Now in its 22nd year, parkrun spans over 2,800 locations in 23 countries with more than 11 million people registered, and counting.

The role

We are seeking a Communications Assistant to be a valued member of parkrun’s communications department.

We are looking for a creative, highly organised and proactive Communications Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is perfect for a self-starter who is eager to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility. The role supports parkrun’s external and internal communications. You will be the guardian of our community’s stories, managing our content schedule, designing assets, and ensuring our online spaces remain warm, inclusive, and safe. An exceptional eye for detail, a creative spark, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
