Salary: $103,500 - $121,500 per year (set by location: $121,500 in SF/NYC, $115,500 in Austin, Boston, Chicago, DC, LA and Seattle, $103,500 elsewhere)

Change.org, the world's largest platform for democracy, is hiring a Campaigns Communication Specialist to secure media coverage for the big, brand-defining campaigns led by its users. You'll report to the Senior Communications Manager.

The role:

• Identify strong campaigns to test over email, social and press
• Pitch press, build reporter lists and suggest stories for social
• Support petition starters in winning their campaigns and speaking to press
• Write brand emails for Change.org's wide email audience
• Track news and issues to guide campaign selection and escalation

You'll need:

• 5+ years in communications and 3-6 years in organising or campaigning
• Strong writing for press pitches, marketing emails and social
• A track record landing top-tier media coverage
• Strong relationships with journalists and influencers
• Comfort in a fast-paced, rapid-response environment
