Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 per year
Location: Hybrid, three days a week in the London office
Contract: Fixed-term, expected Feb 2027 to Sept 2028 (dates to be confirmed)

Team GB is hiring a Head of Communications on a fixed-term contract to lead its communications function through the build-up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The role starts as maternity cover for the Head of Communications, then moves to Deputy Head of Communications from 2028.
The role:
- Deliver the communications strategy and run day-to-day media relations
- Manage reputational issues and advise the CEO, senior leaders and athletes
- Lead communications for the 2027 European Games in Istanbul
- Manage and develop the communications team
- Support commercial partners, broadcasters and National Governing Bodies
- Oversee media operations and manage the communications budget
You'll need:
- At least eight years in media and communications roles
- Experience leading a communications team and advising senior leaders
- Strong knowledge of the UK sporting system
- A track record of proactive PR campaigns and strong coverage
- Sound judgement on sensitive and reputational issues
