Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is a family-run business that has been offering exceptional cruise experiences for over 170 years. With a fleet of ships that provide intimate, friendly, and immersive voyages, we are committed to delivering world-class service with a personal touch. Join us and be part of a proud heritage that is all about making lasting memories for our guests.
We are looking for a travel-obsessed Social Media Manager to join our social team at an exciting time of growth for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic social media powerhouse to lead the team in the next phase of our social media journey, helping us build our brand and reach and engage existing and future audiences.
Reporting to the Head of Content and leading two talented, travel-loving social specialists, you’ll bring bold ideas, fresh perspectives and a collaborative spirit to everything you do. From scroll-stopping content and standout campaigns to exciting influencer partnerships and meaningful community engagement, you’ll inspire our audiences, grow our social presence and make a real impact on the wider business.
As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a social media strategy that enhances brand equity, grows audience engagement, and supports wider business objectives. You will inspire and guide a team of two, driving the identification of emerging trends, platform innovations and relevant cultural moments, and turning insights into engaging content and social opportunities. As the guardian of our social presence, you will champion content excellence, ensuring everything we publish is on-brand, audience-focused, compliant and product-accurate. Through your leadership, creativity and strategic thinking, you will play a key role in growing our reach, strengthening customer connections and driving the continued success of our brand.
We are keen to hear from candidates with social media experience gained either in-house or within an agency environment. You'll have a strong track record of creating engaging social content and delivering campaigns that connect with audiences and drive results. Experience managing, mentoring or coaching a small team would be advantageous, as you'll play a key role in supporting and developing colleagues. While experience within the travel industry would be a bonus, it isn't essential. We are looking for someone with creativity, commercial awareness and a passion for all things social.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week. We offer a hybrid working pattern, with two days working from home and three days based at our Head Office in Ipswich. However, this pattern may need to be flexible to accommodate the travel requirements of the role.
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines offer a wide range of benefits including Axa Health medical, Life Assurance, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, discounted holidays and cruises, plus retail discounts and cash back incentives through our Boost Benefits scheme.
