Bring ideas to life across three brands
Do you enjoy turning everyday moments, products and ideas into content people actually want to watch, read and share?
Henchem Environmental Management Solutions is looking for a creative, organised and curious Social Media & Digital Marketer to join our in-house marketing team.
You will help bring Henchem, NoMor and Imvelo Training Academy to life online, working alongside our Marketing Manager, designers, videographer, sales teams and training colleagues. The role offers hands-on content creation, varied industries and room to grow your digital skills.
What you will do
- Plan, schedule and publish engaging content across relevant platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube, with brand-specific content calendars.
- Create and adapt captions, stories, short-form videos, reels, simple graphics and other digital content for different audiences.
- Capture everyday photo and video content at our office, depots, training sessions, activations and occasional events; edit practical, social-first videos.
- Help manage comments and messages, directing technical product or customer queries to the right internal teams.
- Repurpose existing campaign assets and collaborate with our design and video team to maintain brand consistency.
- Help keep website content current (including WordPress and/or Shopify), and assist with digital campaigns and email marketing.
- Monitor basic social media and digital performance, share monthly insights, and suggest what to try next.
- Keep content libraries and schedules organised and support campaign coordination across our three brands.
- Specialist packaging artwork, technical brochures and advanced design remain with our dedicated graphic design team.
What matters most to us
- A strong eye for content and visual storytelling, paired with clear, engaging writing.
- Practical experience creating and publishing social media content, whether gained through employment, internships and strong portfolio.
- Comfort using tools such as Canva, CapCut or similar applications, and willingness to learn new platforms.
- Good organisation, attention to detail, reliability and the ability to juggle different brands and deadlines.
- A collaborative attitude, openness to feedback and confidence to take initiative.
- Ability to work on-site in Bellville and attend occasional content shoots or company events.
Helpful extras — not deal-breakers
- A qualification or coursework in marketing, communications, digital media, multimedia or a related field.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, social media scheduling or analytics tools.
- Basic WordPress, Shopify, email marketing, SEO or paid social advertising exposure.
- Photography, filming and video-editing experience; a valid driver's licence for occasional off-site shoots.
- Experience creating content for more than one brand, especially across B2B, retail or training audiences.
Who should apply?
We are open to promising junior applicants with a great portfolio and a willingness to learn, as well as more experienced marketers who can independently manage content planning and delivery. You do not need to be an expert in every tool or platform. We value creative judgement, consistency and real examples of your work over a perfect checklist.
What you can expect
- An established in-house team where you can collaborate with experienced marketing, design and video colleagues.
- A varied role across three South African brands of Henchem.
- Opportunities to develop skills in content production, digital campaigns, analytics and brand building.
- A market-related remuneration package aligned with experience and responsibilities.
