Social Media Assistant (Fixed Term)

From TikTok to LinkedIn - help the world see what makes Cambridge extraordinary.

As Social Media Assistant, you'll be part of the University of Cambridge's Social Media, Video and Photography Team, within the Office of External Affairs and Communications (OEAC).

You'll work closely with the Head of Social Media, Social Media Manager and Social Video Manager to plan, create and publish creative content across our channels - from TikTok and Instagram, to LinkedIn and YouTube. Every day will bring something different: one moment you might be crafting captions for a viral post, the next helping to capture the excitement of a groundbreaking discovery, or interviewing students and alumni about their Cambridge life.

With more than seven million followers worldwide, Cambridge is one of the most-followed universities in the world. You'll help ensure our content reflects the excellence, creativity and diversity of our community - using social media to tell powerful stories, connect with global audiences and strengthen our reputation. You'll be part of a team that's curious, collaborative and always exploring new ways to bring Cambridge to life online.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 December 2027 in the first instance.
