Social & Digital Communities Specialist

Salary: Up to £31,500 per year, depending on experience
Location: North West London (NW10)
Hours: 35 per week, permanent

Mayhew is a London animal charity working with dogs, cats and their communities through vet care, rehoming and community programmes. It is hiring a hands-on social media specialist to grow its online presence, tell stories from across the charity and turn engagement into donations, volunteering, adoptions and fundraising.

The role:

• Run Mayhew's social channels and online communities
• Create photo, video, reels, graphics and written stories, mostly on site and out in the community
• Support fundraising, volunteering, adoption and awareness campaigns
• Contribute content to the website and email activity
• Track performance, trends and audience sentiment

You'll need:

• Experience managing social channels and creating digital content
• Confidence with short-form video, photography and visuals
• Strong storytelling skills and an understanding of analytics
• Good judgement on when to escalate sensitive issues
