Membership Communications & Events Assistant Intern
About the role
DUFP is seeking a proactive and well-organised Membership Communications & Events Assistant Intern. The intern will support communication with members and assist with the planning, promotion and coordination of online and in-person events.
This role is ideal for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoys communicating with people, organising activities and working collaboratively.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with current and prospective members.
- Respond to membership enquiries and provide relevant information.
- Prepare member announcements, invitations, reminders and follow-up messages.
- Keep membership contact details and communication records organised.
- Assist with planning and coordinating workshops, networking sessions and other member events.
- Manage event registrations, schedules and participant communications.
- Coordinate with speakers, partners, volunteers and attendees.
- Help prepare event materials, presentations and promotional content.
- Support events while they are taking place and help resolve participant enquiries.
- Collect feedback and prepare short post-event summaries.
- Work with the wider team to improve member engagement and participation.

- Experience with member communication, customer service, community engagement or event coordination is beneficial but not essential.
- Familiarity with email platforms, social media, online meeting tools or AI-assisted communication tools would be an advantage.
