Salary: AUD $80,000 FTE pro rata plus super
Location: East Melbourne VIC (hybrid)

About us
The National Trust Victoria (NTV) is an independent, non-profit organisation supported by a large community base. We protect, conserve and celebrate Victoria's natural, cultural and built heritage. Through our places, collections, advocacy, education and public programs, we connect people with the stories that shape Victoria and encourage their active participation in its future.
About the role
Turn audience feedback into insight that shapes better visitor experiences.
This is a practical and varied opportunity for a capable marketer who enjoys working with people, data and digital platforms. Over six months, you will help the National Trust Victoria embed its Culture Counts Audience project across our places and turn survey findings into useful information for planning, reporting and audience development.
You will be the day-to-day link between the Culture Counts project coordinator and teams across the National Trust Victoria, helping staff use surveys confidently, monitoring participation and data quality, and sharing results in clear and accessible ways. Alongside the project, you will provide hands-on support to the Marketing & Development team across digital communications, web updates, campaign administration, reporting and events.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate survey set-up, testing, scheduling, distribution and close-out across agreed visitor experiences, programs and events
- Work closely with place-based teams to make survey participation practical, consistent and effective
- Provide light-touch training, demonstrations and practical support to staff using the Culture Counts platform and survey processes
- Monitor response levels and data quality, identify issues and follow up with teams as required
- Extract, check and interpret quantitative and qualitative data, then prepare clear summaries, tables, dashboards or presentations for internal reporting and decision-making
- Use Mailchimp, WordPress, SharePoint and Microsoft Excel to support survey delivery, communications, shared resources and reporting
- Contribute responsive, ad hoc marketing support, including eDMs, web updates, content and asset preparation, campaign administration, basic reporting and event support
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for audience data collection at selected programs and events. Changes to the usual work pattern will be agreed in advance and managed within the contracted hours unless otherwise approved.
About you
You are a hands-on marketer or project officer who can move comfortably between people, systems and data. You communicate clearly, build constructive relationships, and enjoy helping others use new tools with confidence.
- Relevant experience in marketing, audience development, evaluation, research, project support or a related field
- Experience supporting survey design or delivery and working with both quantitative and qualitative information
- The ability to interpret and present data accurately and clearly for non-specialist audiences
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the judgement to balance core project work with changing team priorities
- Practical experience using Mailchimp and WordPress, including updating, testing and troubleshooting content
- Confidence using SharePoint and Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools, with the ability to learn new digital platforms quickly
- A collaborative and supportive approach, including the confidence to provide practical training and one-to-one guidance
- Experience with Culture Counts or another audience insights platform, or within heritage, arts, museums, cultural tourism, visitor attractions or the not-for-profit sector, would be advantageous but is not essential
If you meet most, but not all, of these requirements, we still encourage you to apply — particularly if you are comfortable working with systems, data and people and are willing to learn.
How to apply
Applications will close Friday, 23 October 2026. Please submit your application (cover letter and resume) in PDF format, in strict confidence, using the Seek "quick apply" button. We would particularly like to hear about a time you used audience, customer or survey information to improve an activity, campaign, service or report, and your experience using Mailchimp and WordPress.
