About the Role
Tate is looking for a Marketing Officer to join its Audiences team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about culture who is looking to develop their marketing career within one of the world's leading cultural organisations.
The Marketing team is responsible for developing and delivering Tate's marketing strategy, building broad and diverse audiences, developing the Tate brand, supporting attendance targets and contributing to financial goals.
You will work closely with colleagues across Marketing, Membership, Design, Audience Insights and Curatorial, as well as external media, design and creative agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Design team to deliver marketing materials on time and to brief.
- Coordinate with media, design and creative agencies to manage advertising schedules and meet sign-off deadlines.
- Work with the Marketing Manager, Membership, Social and Digital teams to plan engaging content for target audiences.
- Write and update copy for advertising campaigns and Tate's owned channels, including the website.
- Support the administration of brand and media partner events and private views, including some out-of-hours attendance.
- Work with copyright teams and external sponsors to secure timely approval of exhibition images, advertising and film content.
- Produce post-exhibition reports by working with the media agency and using internal reporting tools.
- Monitor and report on the competitive marketing landscape across the cultural sector and beyond.
- Use Excel and Tate's financial systems to process invoices and ensure budgets are kept up to date.
About You
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a marketing support role.
- A genuine passion for culture and an interest in Tate's vision and work.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy team, as well as independently on your own projects.
- A strong interest in developing a career in marketing.
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues from a diverse range of backgrounds and treat others with dignity and respect.
