3 days/week (24 hours), with 1 week full-time before and during festival (8-13 Nov)
Remote (UK), on-site in Manchester for key events and festival

Manchester Animation Festival, the UK's largest animation festival, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to develop, deliver and analyse effective multi-platform marketing and communications. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy to promote the festival and grow brand awareness, profile and sales
  • Oversee creation and distribution of engaging content across social media, newsletters, blog, and print
  • Conduct audience analysis to gain insights and tailor content and engagement strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with external film/arts organisations for cross-promotion
  • Ensure all communications and marketing uphold principles of equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Work with sponsors to ensure marketing benefits are met and branding opportunities maximised
  • Oversee social media team, content assistants and volunteers to deliver strategies
  • Evaluate and report on campaign success to Board, funders and sponsors
  • Coordinate with PR agency to align marketing and press activities
  • Oversee freelance designer, web designer, printers and press/media relations
  • Manage crisis communications as needed

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in marketing roles, preferably in entertainment/cultural sector
  • Proven track record developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Strong digital marketing skills including SEO, social media advertising, Google Analytics
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with marketing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, WordPress
  • Experience managing teams and budgets
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Access to own laptop
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred
  • Interest in animation and festivals a plus
