About The Strategists

The Strategists is a boutique, market-respected strategy immersion and advisory firm. We work with senior executives, leadership teams and organisations on strategy, transformation, innovation, leadership and execution.

The firm is led by Dr Abdullah Verachia, a globally recognised strategist, academic, author and speaker. Our work brings together strategic insight and practical experience to help clients understand change, make decisions and put strategy into action.

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the firm's marketing, communicate the value of our strategy immersions and advisory work, and support business development.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for marketing strategy and delivery across the firm's website, content, social media, campaigns, CRM, PR and events. You will also work with Dr Verachia on his professional profile and publications.

The role requires sound commercial judgement, excellent writing and the ability to manage work from planning through to delivery. You will write and edit content, run campaigns, maintain digital channels, manage external specialists and report on results.

Key Responsibilities1. Growth and Marketing Strategy

· Develop and own the firm's integrated marketing and growth strategy, aligning brand positioning, demand generation, lead acquisition and client engagement with commercial priorities and revenue targets.

· Create quarterly marketing plans with clear objectives, KPIs, timelines, channel strategies, budgets and measurable outcomes for strategy immersions, advisory services and other offerings.

· Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking and audience segmentation to identify opportunities and guide campaign planning and investment.

· Define priority audiences and tailored approaches for executives, boards, existing and prospective clients, programme participants and strategic partners.

· Identify and recommend marketing partnerships, platforms and channels suited to the firm's services and audiences.

· Apply behavioural marketing principles, customer journey mapping and conversion analysis to improve engagement and enquiries across client touchpoints.

· Review the commercial return from marketing activity and recommend where to allocate time and budget.

· Own the firm's brand narrative and maintain consistent positioning, tone and visual identity across marketing and client-facing materials.

2. Website and Digital Presence

· Own the firm's website, ensuring that it clearly presents The Strategists' strategy immersions, advisory services, expertise and client work.

· Manage website updates, landing pages, service pages, articles, team profiles, case studies and calls to action.

· Develop and execute an SEO strategy covering technical requirements such as speed, crawlability, structured data and mobile optimisation; on-page work including keywords, metadata and internal links; and off-page activity including backlinks and relevant listings.

· Build and improve conversion paths from organic search and paid campaigns to contact forms, downloadable content, newsletter subscriptions and consultation bookings.

· Manage Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Tag Manager and related tracking tools.

· Monitor traffic, keyword rankings, visitor behaviour and conversion rates, and use the findings to improve website performance.

· Maintain the firm's Google Business Profile and local search presence.

· Commission, brief and oversee external developers and designers on website improvements and new pages.

3. Content and CEO Profile

· Own the content programme for The Strategists and the CEO, with a calendar covering articles, LinkedIn, newsletters, commentary, case studies, reports and other publications.

· Work closely with Dr Verachia to develop and manage his professional profile on LinkedIn and other relevant platforms, including drafting posts, articles and commentary.

· Turn speeches, research, client insights, academic work and strategic perspectives into content for senior business audiences, respecting client confidentiality.

· Write and edit material in a clear, credible voice appropriate to an executive and consulting audience.

· Identify opportunities for timely commentary on strategy, leadership, foresight, innovation and business.

· Develop reports, whitepapers and opinion pieces with the CEO and team, and plan their distribution to relevant audiences.

· Connect the content programme to business development through relevant calls to action, targeted distribution and follow-up campaigns.

· Lead creative direction for marketing materials and oversee production using Canva and external designers.

· Manage video, speaker clips, interviews, podcast support and content from events and strategy immersions.

4. Lead Generation and CRM

· Build and maintain the firm's CRM system and contact database, with accurate records and clear processes for updating and using the data.

· Segment prospects, current and former clients, programme participants, strategic partners and other relevant contacts.

· Design and deliver lead-generation campaigns using content, downloadable resources, webinar registrations, newsletter subscriptions and consultation bookings as appropriate.

· Develop campaigns that maintain contact with prospects from initial interest through to a qualified enquiry and support ongoing client relationships.

· Create targeted email and direct communication campaigns, using segmentation, personalisation and testing to improve engagement.

· Build automated email sequences and follow-up communications triggered by relevant actions or stages in the client journey.

· Implement lead scoring and qualification criteria to identify promising opportunities and refer them to the CEO and strategy team.

· Develop personal engagement approaches for senior executive audiences, including invitations and direct follow-up around events and strategy immersions.

· Track how leads progress and assess whether campaigns are reaching the right organisations and decision-makers.

5. Paid Media and Performance Marketing

· Plan, execute and optimise campaigns across LinkedIn, Google and other channels relevant to the firm's audiences.

· Define targeting by role, sector, geography, search intent and relevance to the firm's offerings, including retargeting where appropriate.

· Develop and test advertising copy, imagery, video, creative formats and landing pages.

· Manage budgets against agreed objectives, cost-per-lead and conversion targets, reallocating spend according to performance and lead quality.

· Implement campaign tracking and attribution using campaign links, conversion tracking and Google Tag Manager.

· Run structured tests of audiences, messaging, creative and conversion paths, and use the results to improve campaigns.

· Produce monthly reports by channel covering spend, results, lead quality and recommended changes, including activity that should be stopped.

6. Social Media

· Own the firm's LinkedIn strategy, publishing schedule and audience development, with a focus on senior executives, C-suite leaders and boards.

· Manage content production, scheduling, posting, responses and community engagement.

· Coordinate the firm's presence across other platforms relevant to its audiences.

· Promote publications, strategy immersions, speaking engagements, events and other firm activity.

· Identify relevant industry conversations, groups and communities in which the firm or CEO should participate.

· Track reach, engagement, audience growth, website traffic and enquiries generated by social channels.

· Assess the relevance of the audience and the contribution of social activity to client engagement and business development.

7. Events PR and Business Development Support

· Work with the team to plan, promote and deliver executive roundtables, client events, webinars, launches and other firm initiatives.

· Support the CEO's speaking engagements, conferences, podcasts and media appearances through preparation of marketing materials and publicity.

· Build and maintain relationships with journalists, conference organisers, industry bodies and strategic partners.

· Identify suitable PR and media opportunities, and coordinate communications and supporting materials.

· Develop launch and marketing plans for new strategy immersions, advisory offerings, programmes and publications.

· Create and maintain credentials presentations, capability documents, case studies and other business development materials.

· Support proposals with marketing input, including positioning, competitor and market context, writing and presentation.

8. Marketing Analytics and Commercial Impact

· Establish and maintain a dashboard covering website, SEO, paid media, email, social media, CRM and events.

· Track website traffic and conversion, search visibility, audience growth, content performance, campaign results and email engagement.

· Monitor qualified leads, client and prospect engagement, progress through the opportunity pipeline and contribution to business development.

· Track marketing spend, cost per lead, conversion costs and return on investment where measurable.

· Maintain reliable tracking and attribution so that results can be compared across campaigns and channels.

· Review campaign and channel performance regularly, identifying what is working and where budget or effort should change.

· Provide concise monthly reporting and quarterly reviews for the CEO, linking activity to brand measures, pipeline development and revenue contribution where attributable.

Priorities for the First Year

· Put an agreed marketing strategy, budget and delivery calendar in place.

· Improve website content and search visibility, with clear information on the firm's strategy immersions and advisory services.

· Establish a consistent publishing programme for the firm and CEO.

· Maintain an organised CRM with relevant contact segments and follow-up processes.
