Marketing Assistant

Pleasance

The Marketing Assistant plays a key role in maintaining and advancing the day-to-day operation of the Pleasance’s busy marketing department.

Working alongside the Head of Marketing and Graphic Designer, the Marketing Assistant will support the delivery of the theatre’s strategic marketing campaigns and work directly with incoming performing companies. The role has a strong focus on digital marketing, with social media experience essential.

The Marketing Assistant will lead the delivery of the Pleasance’s social media marketing strategy across Facebook, Instagram, X, Bluesky and TikTok, including organic and paid content. You’ll be responsible for developing exciting and engaging content ideas, taking them from concept through to completion, and identifying high-performing content and social trends.

As part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe campaign, you’ll also oversee a small team of Digital Content Creators to enhance the organisation’s digital promotional output during the peak season.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, personable and proactive, with a friendly, can-do attitude. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, spending time on your feet and adapting your working hours around events and artists’ schedules. There is potential to work remotely for up to two days per week.
