We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated marketing and communications professional to develop and deliver strategic communication initiatives that enhance community awareness and engagement of events, programs, projects and services at the City of Rockingham. This role in the Strategic, Marketing and Communications team requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong copywriting and editing capabilities.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective marketing and communication campaigns, branding and corporate collateral and utilising digital and social media platforms to drive community awareness. You will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Photoshop.
Experience within a local government environment will be highly regarded.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria when submitting your online application:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations (please attach a copy to your application)
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills and copywriting experience
- Excellent knowledge of social media as a communication and marketing tool
- High level experience in developing and implementing marketing and communication campaigns to drive community awareness
- Excellent experience in the development of corporate collateral and branding
- Sound knowledge of the graphic design and publication process, particularly design and document layout
- Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, Canva, Pro and Photoshop
We are offering a remuneration package from $94,367 to $101,357 per annum (pro-rata), depending on skills and experience and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
