Digital & Creative Lead

Salary: Circa £31,500 (depending on experience)

About the Role
Scottish Curling is looking for a creative and driven Digital & Creative Lead to shape the organisation's digital presence and visual identity as it launches its new corporate strategy, Growing the Game.
This is much more than a social media role. You'll lead the creative direction across digital channels while producing high-quality photography, video, design and print materials that showcase every aspect of curling in Scotland—from grassroots clubs and volunteers to elite athletes and international events.
Working across both Scottish Curling and the Scottish Curling Trust, you'll help tell compelling stories, strengthen the brand, grow participation and inspire the next generation of curlers.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Strategy

Develop and deliver a content strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other digital platforms.

Produce engaging written, photographic and video content.

Design high-quality print and digital assets including brochures, event programmes, presentations, reports, banners and promotional materials.

Work with colleagues across the organisation to create compelling campaigns and storytelling content.

Monitor trends, analytics and audience engagement to improve performance and maximise communications.
Community Engagement

Build and engage Scottish Curling's online community.

Respond to comments, messages and enquiries professionally.

Monitor conversations and social listening opportunities to strengthen the organisation's reputation and reach.
Digital Strategy

Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver digital communications that promote Scottish Curling's activities, events and initiatives.

Manage and update the organisation's website to ensure an excellent user experience.

Plan and deliver digital campaigns that increase awareness, engagement and membership.
Analytics & Reporting

Monitor social media performance and produce regular reports with insights and recommendations.

Contribute digital updates and KPI reporting for the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and Board.

Manage campaign budgets where appropriate.
Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to ensure communications are accurate, engaging and consistent.

Coordinate content across web, email and social media channels.

Keep up to date with emerging digital trends and best practice.
Essential Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:

Experience developing and implementing social media strategies across multiple platforms.

Strong content creation skills across copywriting, photography, video and design.

Excellent community management experience.
-
Strong analytical skills with experience reporting on digital performance.

Graphic design and video editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar.

Experience using social media management tools.

Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.

Strong project management and organisational skills.

Ability to simplify complex information for different audiences.

Experience producing engaging, shareable content.

Experience maintaining a consistent brand voice, including during sensitive or breaking news situations.

A collaborative approach with experience working across multiple teams.
Desirable Experience

Knowledge of the sports sector.

Understanding of online marketing and fundraising.

Experience with paid social advertising.
