Sweetgreen is looking for a Sr. Manager of Social Media to inspire and engage sweetgreen customers with relevant storytelling that connects to our mission. You will be a key member of the marketing leadership team working directly with the VP of Marketing to manage and drive strategic and operational initiatives. You will lead high-priority cross-functional projects, while ensuring alignment and accountability across the leadership team and sweetgreen’s.

You will be responsible for evolving the narrative of the brand as the company scales as well as maintaining consistency across all consumer touchpoints. We’re looking for the consummate visual storyteller – someone who is not afraid to take risks, experiment and inspire our customers through thoughtful, consistent and aspirational campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Translate high level business and marketing priorities into clear brand messaging and campaign initiatives that would enhance our brand awareness as sweetgreen grows into new markets
  • Communicate how social media connects to sweetgreen’s mission and purpose. Create strategies for each platform that connect to business objectives.
  • Build a social media and content team that moves at the speed of culture. Champion and coach the team to create sharp, insightful, data- driven marketing briefs with clear target, positioning and messaging.
  • Stay on top of culture and marketing trends. Passionate about connecting sweetgreen to the next generation (Gen Z)
  • Build community with our audience on Web3 through thoughtful brand experiences.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the brand by being an earnest student of the brand’s history and consumers; Balance that by bringing a strong point of view to shape the future.
  • Ability to work with celebrity talent and talent managers for future partnerships and can demonstrate a relationship building mindset with partners as we grow.
  • Leverage consumer insights to develop ownable and focused positioning in the marketplace.
  • Partner cross functionally with marketing, operations and culinary leadership to represent the brand team and
  • provide feedback that move projects forward.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years experience, either in-house or at a brand strategy agency, driving strategic product and brand positioning from insights all the way through to successful execution.
  • Deeply familiar with brand strategy, brand development, multi-channel execution (paid and owned), social platforms, influencer strategies, PR amplification have executed these at scale, driving business results and brand equity along the way.
  • Have previously managed a brand/marketing team of 5+ including the following functions: brand strategy, retail, social, operations and copywriting.
  • Experience working on integrated campaigns with and without an abundance of resources, time and budget.
  • Understands mobile first content development and has deep social media experience (IG, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
  • A strong network of diverse + inclusive creative and thoughtful partners.
  • Experience translating rich consumer insights into actionable and compelling marketing briefs.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple high- profile and high- budget projects at once.
  • An engaging leadership presence that comes across equally strong in person, over video, and through your writing.
  • Are culturally aware and naturally curious – you know what other brands are doing.
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment.

Salary Range For This Role

Starting salary range based on experience

$140,000—$150,000 USD
