Sam’s Social Media Club is helping Yorkshire Food Guide find a Social Video Creative.

Yorkshire Food Guide is an online directory of the best restaurants, events, exclusive offers and food and drink news from across the region – yorkshirefoodguide.co.uk.

YFG has the largest targeted audience of food and drink lovers in the region, 300K+ across the website, social media, app and e-newsletter database. Working with prestigious clients across Yorkshire to showcase the top dining destinations. You’ll be managing the content team, working towards our goal of growing and developing Yorkshire Food Guide and supporting our clients.

Yorkshire Food Guide is looking for a social video creative to join the team to support the delivery of brand storytelling, client video campaigns, social media management and drive growth of our audience across our social media platforms – Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.

You’ll work with content team to help execute the social and communications strategy, by creating on-brand, engaging content and identifying opportunities to help support business growth.

Role

  • Create and deliver on brand and engaging original content for our social media platforms including UGC, competitions, reels, video and stills.
  • Package the content to align with YFG’s tone of voice and ensure that it’s positioned correctly for the content and platform.
  • Produce content that maximises our ability to reach new audiences.
  • Be the face of Yorkshire Food Guide, presenting, talking and eating on camera.
  • Attend shoots and identifying the key focus for the edit.
  • Stay up to date with social algorithms and updates to ensure we are always activating latest trends to drive performance and growth.
  • Completing monthly reporting, analysing insights and implementing any required changes.
  • Manage our roster of influencers and freelancers.
  • Community management, ensuring our audience are engaged with and the social DM’s are monitored and answered.
  • We are a small team which means that sometimes, we may need your help on tasks outside of your core responsibilities. This could include anything from helping with an email campaign, covering the inbound emails or even just helping at one of our seasonal events. We’ll also make sure you are trained and comfortable with each task before assigning.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year in a similar role with experience in scaling social media accounts.
  • A strong interest in food and drink.
  • Passion for social media and content creation.
  • A good design eye and skilled in creating UGC videos.
  • Good video editing skills and some experience with photo and video editing software.
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • A full driving licence would be advantageous.
  • Confident in sharing and delivering new and fresh ideas.

Location

Working from our Leeds city centre office, together with visiting prestigious businesses (award-winning restaurants, hotels, cookery schools spas) across the region.

Salary

£20K – £25K based on experience
