This role will be based in our New York office in a hybrid capacity or can be remote-based in select US locations*.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Brand & Content Marketing, the Social Media Editor & Content Creator (Contract) primary focus will be to help build Begin’s brand presence on social media through content development and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and curating engaging organic social media content on Instagram and TikTok for a parent audience and a passion for early learning. We are looking for candidates who are available to support our team through the end of 2024 with the opportunity to increase hours after the first 3 months.

You will:

Develop and execute the daily content calendar across social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok, to maintain a consistent brand presence, drive engagement, and build community.
Create and curate compelling, social-first content tailored to each platform that is informed by Begin’s brand identity and core content pillars.
Drive community engagement by responding to brand-love related comments and messages, as well as proactively joining relevant conversations with like-minded personalities and brands.
Partner with external content creators, brand ambassadors, and thought leaders to support social media initiatives
Monitor social media trends, algorithm changes, and cultural conversations to inform content creation and optimize engagement strategies.
Collaborate with the Brand Marketing & Creative teams to brainstorm and implement social-first extensions of brand and product launch campaigns
Utilize social media video editing skills and basic graphic design skills to produce platform-optimized content.
Track and report social content performance identifying areas of success and those in need of improvement.

Must Haves:

Minimum of 2 years previous experience in social media content creation and management , with a strong emphasis social-first video development
Proven track record of building brand presence and driving engagement on Instagram and TikTok
Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
Background working with Meta & TikTok Ads Manager to boost content
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in social media video editing and basic graphic design software/tools.
Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

This role is not eligible for CO state.

Salary MIN: $30/hr MAX:$40/hr. Approximately 20 hours/week. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.
