Details: The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is seeking an experienced social media and digital content professional to join the CIT Marketing team to deliver engaging and user-centric content for CIT’s social media and digital channels to strengthen brand positioning and drive community growth and engagement, particularly among current and future students.

About The Role.

As the CIT Social and Digital Content Officer, you will develop and distribute high quality content and ensure the right information is provided to the right audience, at the right time.

Working Under The General Direction Of The CIT Assistant Marketing Manager And In Collaboration With The CIT Marketing Team And Stakeholders In CIT Colleges And Departments, You Will

  • Design, implement and evaluate content strategies and plans in line with CIT marketing and student recruitment goals.
  • Develop, create and publish high quality and engaging written content for a range of CIT channels including social media, website and email marketing to drive channel growth and engagement.
  • Assist with the management of the social media content calendar including planning and scheduling posts and monitoring social media channels to prepare responses to community inquiries.
  • Bring new content ideas to life that is tailored to the audience and platform, is data-driven and programmed to maximise organic reach and engagement.

About You

You will be an experienced social and digital content professional with the ability to write, curate, edit and publish content for a variety of audiences.

You will be passionate about creating compelling and high-quality content that inspires future students and thrive on analysing performance for continuous improvement.

You will have the ability to communicate with a diverse range of audiences, building collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

You will be adaptable and work effectively under pressure, prioritising competing deadlines to deliver high-quality outcomes in-line with strategic objectives.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism, media studies and/or public relations or a minimum of five years’ professional experience working in marketing, communications, journalism, media studies and/or public relations will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in education sector marketing and communications will be highly regarded.

Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
