About the role:

 

 

We are looking for someone with excellent paid and organic content experience to join our Digital & Social Marketing team as a Senior Paid Social Executive (Internally, known as Social Senior Executive). In this role, you will be delivering both paid social campaigns and organic content via social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest and TikTok.

 

The successful candidate will be planning, managing and delivering social and video content on both our paid and organic platforms. You’ll be responsible for creating social content and running social campaigns that drive reach, engagement and sales against business and marketing objectives.

 

Through the creation of paid social media campaigns and engaging organic social content you will help to drive awareness and consideration of the Waitrose brand. You will be responsible for social marketing that integrates into the overall social media strategy (owned, earned and paid channels).Through ongoing measurement and optimisation, you will ensure that our campaigns and content help to drive our brand metrics.

 

You will operate in a collaborative matrix way of working with teams across Marketing, Content & Design, Customer Insight, Marketing, Customer Services, Communications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and managing new paid social media campaigns – hands-on experience using Ads Manager is essential
  • Daily analysis and optimisation of campaign performance
  • Uploading of audiences and creative as part of an in-house team of social marketers
  • Reporting campaign and content performance – experience using platform reporting suites to optimise and measure performance is essential
  • Advising on media budgets and some experience in media planning is beneficial
  • Hands-on experience scheduling and posting organic content is essential – from writing caption copy and navigating each platform’s creative tools, to making edits and trimming video, you’ll be responsible for the final content and pressing ‘publish’
  • Planning and creating social and video content for our organic social media channels.
  • Supporting community engagement – confidently commenting and responding to our audience when relevant
  • Activation of campaigns and content across social media platforms
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with social media platform representatives

Essential skills you’ll need:

  • Significant hands-on experience with media planning and building paid advertising campaigns across social platforms
  • Significant hands-on experience scheduling and creating content for our key social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok)

 

  • Experience with reviewing and responding to briefs, developing activation timelines and working across key social channels from both an organic and paid advertising perspective

 

  • Multiple stakeholder management – strong levels of communication required for presenting to, reporting to and influencing multiple stakeholders.

 

  • Insight and analytics – experience in reporting, social media analytics and listening. Reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans.

 

  • Creative thinking – delivering inspiring and relevant content that is channel centric, utilising formats and different aesthetic styles to tell engaging stories. Monitoring social trends, reacting when relevant.

 

  • Knowledge of the latest developments within Social Media, as well as experience using all of our core social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok)

 

 

What else could you bring?

  • The team is fairly small and we’re in a changing environment so an ability to deal with ambiguity with energy, positivity & enthusiasm is really important
  • Experience of wider digital marketing channels and how they influence Social and vice versa, specifically SEO, Email, Display and PPC
  • Any experience of grocery and/or retail would be helpful.

Duties and Responsibilities

At a glance:

The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you’ll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Social team aim for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. This role is based at our Bracknell campus. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
