About the role

As the Senior Marketing Officer, your main responsibility is to manage the development and implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns, and digital materials that will encourage people to take responsibility for nature with a focus on below-the-line channels including Instagram and email marketing as well as new subscriber acquisition.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that Parks Victoria adheres to social media best practices in its chosen channels. Additionally, you will provide advice and recommendations to ensure that our community continues to thrive. This role also involves providing generalist and social media marketing advice to Parks Victoria’s business units.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing or Communications (desirable)
  • Previous experience in tourism or destination marketing (desirable)
  • Experience working with and managing information across different channels with a strong preference for Instagram and/or email marketing/acquisition specialist
  • Demonstrable excellent creative writing, researching, and editing skills with an ability to adapt style to suit a range of different audiences
  • Creative flair and an eye for good imagery
