Who we are:

The National Autistic Society is the UK’s leading charity for autistic people. Since 1962, we’ve been transforming lives, changing attitudes and helping to create a society that works for autistic adults and children.

We transform lives by providing support, guidance and practical advice for the 700,000 autistic adults and children in the UK, as well as their three million family members and carers. Autistic people turn to us at key moments or challenging times in their lives, be it getting a diagnosis, going to school or finding work.

We change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face. We also work closely with businesses, local authorities and government to help them provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services and improve laws.

We have come a long way but it is not good enough. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for people on the spectrum. With your help, we can make it happen.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for two creative and driven Multimedia Content Creators skilled in design, editing, film and photography to work with autistic people, families and professionals to tell stories, creating engaging content and find new formats to help build understanding of autism, our work and the support we offer.

This is a unique opportunity to work for the UKs leading autism charity creating content for our social channels, website and other places to ensure we reach more people with our vital work.

One of our two roles will be focused on Autism help – our work in supporting people before, during and after their autism diagnosis and at key moments in their lives – it will take our website advice content and find new formats for showcasing this information. The second role will focus on our social media channels and creating engaging and informative content from everything from fundraising campaigns, to capturing moments in our schools.

We will hold one interview process for both roles. If you have a strong preference for either role, please let us know in your covering letter. If you wish, you can apply for both roles – please indicate this in your covering letter.

We intend to hold two rounds of interviews.
