What are we looking for

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join the award-winning Edinburgh Trams Team.

Reporting to the Head of Business Support, you will support the wider business in the delivery of marketing, communications, events and sales initiatives across Edinburgh Trams network.

About the role

This is role is to develop and deliver marketing and communications plans across all business areas where it has been identified there is the potential to grow sales. In addition, as leader of a small but highly focused team, you will be responsible for the planning, management and execution of all marketing activities.

  • The production and management of the annual marketing and communications plan.
  • Manage sales activities across the network
  • Ensuring that Edinburgh Trams makes effective use of digital and social media channels for marketing and communications activity.
  • Ensure the availability of customer information collateral across the network.
  • Overview of plans for revenue collection for events close to the tram network.
  • Maintaining relationships with event organisers and stakeholders in developing innovative partnerships.
  • Coordination of any market research that is required to identify market requirements for existing and future products.
  • Ensuring the Senior Management Team receives regular feedback on stakeholder expectations and experiences.
  • To support the customer relations and revenue protection teams as and when required.
  • Support in the sales, administration and delivery of internal and external tram advertising.

About You:

  • A proven track record in the delivery of a marketing plan, managing campaign delivery from start to finish.
  • Production of news stories, social media content and marketing copy.
  • Experience in graphic design with the relevant IT skills to use Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Experience in Event Management.
  • An innovative and critical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders.
