Position Summary
Directs the development and execution of Online at UNO’s promotion, marketing, storytelling, and communication efforts to support online undergraduate, graduate, doctoral programs, and microcredential courses. Collaborate with University Communications, ILCI and UNO departments/units/schools, engagement programs, and community partners on the marketing and communications efforts for online at UNO using a variety of social media, news media, and other communication platforms. Help develop and execute strategic marketing and communication plans for the college and units/programs. Identify and monitor key market performance indicators and marketing/communications market trends. Design and produce various reports, marketing materials, videos, and presentations for the college. Write feature stories, news releases, scientific communication, faculty and student highlights, newsletter content, website content, social media posts, and perform copy editing. Oversee development and execution of printed materials, multimedia & video projects, ILCI and Online at UNO website, newsletters, social media channels, events, swag materials, and other marketing or communications efforts. Assist with ILCI and Online at UNO’s marketing and recruitment materials, event planning, coordination, and promotion, branding efforts, and other needs as they arise.

Duties:

  • Oversee and execute all marketing and communications efforts for ILCI and Online at UNO.
  • Researching, writing, editing, and designing marketing and communications pieces for print, web, multimedia/video projects, and social media.
  • Organize and participate in events, webinars, and workshops that bring awareness to microcredentials and Online programs at UNO
  • Coordinate logistics and promotional materials for events.
  • Oversee production of the ILCI and Online at UNO’s annual report.
  • Create and execute email strategy for marketing campaigns and email communications and newsletters.
  • With Marcomm coordinate photo shoots and videos for marketing materials.
  • Execute strategic communications and marketing plans
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including on-campus units, external organizations, and UNO’s Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications to align efforts and achieve enrollment goals.
  • Coordinate with UNO contacts to elevate the Online at UNO brand and tell our story through UNO Alumni magazine features, UCOMM features, UNO graduate and other highlights, and local media.
  • Support and/or train ILCI staff in the area of website/social media on platforms such as Cascade, HubSpot, and LucidPress.
  • Identify and cultivate leads through various channels, including website inquiries, information sessions, and partnerships for UNO microcredential courses.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems to manage leads, prospects, and enrolled learners for microcredential courses.
  • Ensure effective communication with potential learners throughout the enrollment process for microcredential courses
  • Manage ILCI and Online at UNO website, maintain updated news center, homepage content and information architecture, create content, coordinate with UNO Digital Communications Team.
  • Monitor social media outlets, engage with followers, and post relevant content for each platform.
  • Create content, graphics, and videos as promo/advertising/marketing media and to promote faculty, staff, alumni, and student achievements on ILCI and Online at UNO social channels.

  • Work with Director and Associate Director of Online Development and Director of Strategy and Operations to establish appropriate marketing budgets and plans for colleges and programs.
  • Work with academic program leaders and college communicators to:

Enhance website appearance and traffic for online UNO programs.

  • Coordinate with University Communications to define strategy and technical parameters for ILCI and Online at UNO web and social campaigns/projects, and print materials.
  • Serve on committees as necessary, including University Communications-led initiatives.
  • Monitor Google Analytics and social media stats to examine the effectiveness of current and future recruiting programs and marketing/communications efforts report data to team leadership, and participate in brainstorming for strategy adjustment (as needed).
  • Update marketing/communications plans based on results.
