Internship in Labor Market Communication

This year we have done many great things to show the whole of the Netherlands how great NS is as an employer. We have set up various target group campaigns to recruit as many good, new colleagues as possible. From campaigns for potential colleagues on the train and at the station to campaigns for colleagues in the office (IT, technology, finance, marketing, etc.).

As a labor market communications intern, you help the recruitment marketing team to address all these target groups and entice them to choose NS as an employer. You do this together with your colleagues. You know better than anyone how to reach different target groups in an enthusiastic and creative way with attractive texts, videos and images. You can do this, among other things, by:

• Creating communication tools for online and offline recruitment campaigns tailored to the target groups.
• Managing our social media channels (working at NS Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn).
• Analyzing recruitment figures and labor market research.
• Supporting and creating content yourself (including news items, banners, flyers, posters, online campaign material, photos/film, etc.) and optimization work for our website werkenbijns.nl.

We sometimes work from home, but we also see each other regularly at the office. Our recruitment department is located on the first floor of the NS head office, within walking distance of Utrecht Central Station. About 9 colleagues from the recruitment marketing team within the recruitment department join forces here. The team consists of the disciplines labor market communication, online marketing, event management and business analysis. You also work a lot with around 40 recruiters who are responsible for filling our vacancies. Doesn’t sound bad, right? We would like to welcome you to our team!

• You are studying at a higher professional or university level in the field of communication, marketing, journalism or communication and information sciences.
• You are interested in social media and writing creative texts.
• You are curious by nature, easily make contact with others and naturally like to take the lead.
• Experience with a CMS is an advantage.

• You are looking for a full-time internship (32-36 hours per week) from February 2024 to June 2024. An earlier start date and/or longer period is negotiable. Naturally, we also offer you the space for your possible internship assignment.
