Our Marketing function is Big on delivering outstanding creative and campaigns, that deliver against our Brand House and company objectives!

 

Our teams create campaigns that drive brand affinity and drive trade driving messages ensuring we are true to our brand promise – Big on Quality, Lidl on Price! We also strive for distinctiveness to advocate our point of difference through signage and leaflets we create for store to the social media and TV campaigns we create for your home!

What you’ll do

The Marketing Graduate Programme will take you through an intense, demanding but incredibly rewarding two years of structured development across the three core areas of Marketing:

 

  1. Brand & Strategy is the division looking after strategic planning, insight and strategic partnerships and events. At the moment, these partnerships stretch from national Baby Events to our 4 year partnership with Tough Mudder, to bespoke Scotland partnerships. The Creative Projects team also sit in Brand & Strategy, they act as an in-house agency and our brand guardians, designing and signing off all marketing touchpoints.

 

  1. The Campaigns & Media team are responsible for project managing all brand, trade driving & business as usual campaigns from development to implementation. Working with our creative, social and media agencies, the team manage all channels for a campaign, and create all assets that go live on paid media, from TV to radio, digital and social. They are also responsible for planning and buying the media, to ensure Lidl advertising in seen in the right place, and the right time, by the right people.

 

  1. Retail Marketing create all communications that is ‘Lidl owned’, from store point of sale, through to leaflets and our website. They work hard in planning and executing styled and packshot photography and mirroring promotions and brand communications on our digital channels.

What you’ll need

  • A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline by September 2024 or graduated no earlier than September 2022
  • Experience working within a marketing based role is advantageous
  • Passion for working as part of a team and ability to work independently
  • Desire to learn, develop and challenge yourself in a demanding and dynamic environment
  • A naturally analytical mind-set
  • Attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial flair, adaptable and highly driven
  • Decisive and able to cope with the pressure of demanding targets and deadlines
  • Communicates confidently and effectively
  • Already live – or happy to relocate – within a one-hour commute of Lidl GB Head Office, Tolworth, Surrey
  • To be legally entitled to work in the UK on a full-time basis
  • German language skills desirable but not essential
  • Able to attend the assessment day on Wednesday 27th March 2024
