We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our team as a Digital Content Officer. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a permanent basis and will be based remotely. In return you will receive a salary of up to £35,240.11 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Since 1927, Cats Protection has helped thousands of cats each year, across the UK. As a community of volunteers, employees, supporters and partners, we’ve improved the lives of millions of cats and transformed the way millions of people see and care for cats.

The Digital Content team is a small but busy team, responsible for the content on Cats Protection’s national website. Our aim is to keep it engaging, relevant, consistent and on brand – as well as increasing Cats Protection’s visibility online through search.

Responsibilities of our Digital Content Officer:

In this varied role you will be responsible for everything from keyword research and generating content ideas to creating optimised copy, working with other departments and using analytics skills to report back on a campaign’s effectiveness.

What we’re looking for in our Digital Content Officer:

  • Significant experience in writing SEO focused content for a digital audience essential
  • Significant experience working with a CMS (Content Management System) essential
  • Proven ability to write specialist SEO website content for a range of differing audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of web accessibility and usability standards
