Sam’s Social Media Club is helping Penguin Random House find a Digital Content Executive – Children’s.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Executive for Ladybird & Puffin to join the Penguin Random House Children’s Marketing team.

Do you have experience in facilitating and managing content in the children’s landscape? Are you interested in engaging children and families with authentic and targeted content? Do you always have a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the power of social platforms? If you have audience-first experience and are looking for a new challenge, this could be the role for you!
Our creativity is inspired by different perspectives, so we strive for our culture to be one of belonging, where everyone feels welcome and where differences are celebrated. We want to work with a wide range of talent as we find new ways to tell our stories. You don’t have to come from a publishing background or have a degree to be considered – we want to hear from different voices and see fresh perspectives.

Our consumer brands, Ladybird & Puffin, are some of the strongest, global brands in the publishing world. Ladybird makes growing up the best story ever. Puffin creates stories that spark imagination in children across the world. Our list includes Peppa Pig and Percy Jackson, Ten Minutes to Bed and Tom Fletcher, Bluey and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Stories for every child, everywhere.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Facilitating a creative and engaging pipeline of content across all key online channels
  • Channel management across the Ladybird and Puffin socials including content creation, copy-writing, scheduling and posting
  • Analytics to include reporting content performance and recommendations to the wider Brand, Marketing & PR team, and advising on best practice

Candidate profile:

  • Passion for content and how it can drive community engagement and lead to strong sales
  • Good audience-engagement experience through social channel management
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Effective time and project management skills, including working across multiple projects
  • Broad market awareness within children’s media, brand and within marketing
