Job Purpose

  • Take charge of the day-to-day maintenance of the Humanities web estate, adhering to established processes and procedures, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
  • Offer digital support to the Web and Digital Team, Communications and Marketing Team, and the broader Faculty.

Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities or Duties

  • Manage incoming IT Support Centre requests, actioning or reassigning.
  • Moderate content submitted by contributors to the University’s main content management system, copyediting as necessary in alignment with best practice and brand guidelines.
  • Manage the editing and publication of news articles for internal stakeholders.
  • Produce reports on the performance of the web estate, including interpreting and presenting GA4 (Google Analytics 4) data to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality assurance by correcting broken links and misspellings using website governance/optimisation software, utilising the same software to improve accessibility and search engine optimisation.
  • Produce training materials for the Web and Digital Team, Communications and Marketing Team, and the broader Faculty, also contributing to the team’s internal knowledge base and external SharePoint communication site.
  • Work according to and ensure compliance with legal, editorial, accessibility, and design guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required by the Web, Content, and Digital Marketing Manager or Senior Digital Marketing Officer.
