Conference & Content Creator

A Conference & Content Creator is responsible for putting together the programme and speakers for world-class mining conferences and expos held throughout Africa. He/she is responsible for conducting the research and obtaining the information required to produce high-quality programmes that will reach the commercial goals of the event. The Conference Producer takes ultimate responsibility delivery of the programme and assists the Event Manager with the product team industry knowledge and motivation, marketing messages, and the success of the event.

Responsibilities:

• Research, develop and write the content of conference programmes
• Select, invite and secure high-level speakers to cover all the key topics (remotely and face to face)
• Market research and news dissemination within the team
• Work closely with sales team to identify and secure support from relevant parties
• Work closely with marketing team to ensure effective marketing of the conference
• Provide content for all marketing collateral related to the conference
• Provide speaker support at the conference to ensure the smooth running of the programme
• Post-event content report back and analysis
• Speaker budget management
• Generate topic ideas to develop new events

Requirements:

• Must be residing in Cape Town (no relocation provided)
• Fluent in English, French would be an advantage
• Valid South African Work permit or permanent residency
• One to three years of conference or content production experience – preferably in the B2B environment
• A university degree or relevant qualification
• Above average verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
• Analytical attention to detail combined with some creativity
• Deadline driven with strong time management and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Remuneration: R25,000.00 to R30,000.00 gross per month
