Condé Nast is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join its US team and support the Chief Communications Officer, as well as provide media tracking and reporting support across its brands.

 

The Communications Coordinator will be media savvy, have interests in media’s coverage of news and culture, have a working understanding of the business of media and be looking to build a career in communications at a leading global media company.

 

Candidates should be adept at working within a fast-paced, results-driven communications environment and be a self-starter who desires to learn more about the industry. They will be working across all of Condé Nast’s brands and be adept at moving between tasks as they navigate a busy media environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Support the Chief Communications Officer with all administrative responsibilities in managing the global division, not limited to calendar management, meeting agendas and budget coordination across the department.
  • Draft Media & Corporate Announcements and other written communications needs independently.
  • Provide support to the Communication team that keep the global team connected and organised; including managing internal systems, managing and scheduling communication channels, monitoring and reporting on effectiveness of communication
  • Build, track and report  live media reporting; providing regular (daily, weekly) summaries for Condé Nast titles in support of communications leads and editors.
  • Provide company-wide media reports in partnership with Corporate Communications Director
  • Provide assistance and contribute to the internal communications team, as needed, in building internal communications newsletters and sending company-wide communications.
  • Support events in-person, including photographer and press management, as needed.
  • Be the eyes and ears of the communications team, actively tracking and flagging industry and cultural media coverage in real time.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in communications; preferably in news, media or entertainment.
  • Degree in journalism, communications or similar field required.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Cross-cultural understanding and ability to effectively work within a global team, including the ability to coordinate information and tasks in a timely manner across time zones.
  • High attention to detail and can multi-task and respond to requests quickly.
  • Proven ability to act with confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to act in a self-directed manner.
  • An eagerness to grow professionally within the communications field.
  • Knowledgeable about news and media, current events and the daily news cycle.
  • Well versed across global social media platforms, in addition to news and lifestyle outlets. High degree of media literacy.
  • Is collaborative and can work successfully with many stakeholders.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $65,000-$75,000.  Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education
