Can you create engaging communications that inspire and inform others? Are you passionate about effective planning and performance to achieve strategic success? Are you driven to join us on our mission to prevent child abuse and keep children safe?

We are looking for someone to play a pivotal role in the delivery of our strategy through leading strategic communications and engagement and delivering strategic projects and initiatives that will contribute to our success. We launched our ambitious ten-year strategy in 2021 and this role is critical in bringing that strategy to fruition.

As Senior Strategy and Engagement Officer you will develop and lead our strategic communications plan to bring our strategy to life and make our strategic ambitions a reality. You will be experienced in delivering corporate messaging and storytelling in an engaging format across a broad range of communication channels. You will also be experienced in facilitating organisational business planning and supporting directorates to understand their performance, trends, and contributions to the strategy.

This is a varied and fast paced role, requiring someone who has excellent time management skills. The ability to collaborate cross-functionally is essential to this role as you will be communicating with stakeholders across the organisation. You will be supported by a small, skilled, fun and friendly team within the Strategy Delivery team in our Strategy and Knowledge Directorate.

We are looking for someone with experience of:

  • Playing a leading role in the development and delivery of communications and engagement activities.
  • Working in a strategy, performance and/or project management team environment
  • Producing content for intranets and/or external websites
  • Producing concise, factual, and informative performance and outcomes reporting
  • Facilitating business planning in a large and complex organisation

Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. It is what drives us. It motivates our Strategy and Knowledge Directorate to maintain our position as an influential, informed and forceful voice at every level. Join us as Senior Strategy and Engagement Officer and be part of progress that means more.

We know that the main reward is making a difference to children’s lives, but we also like to reward our people by offering a variety of rewards and benefits including generous annual leave, employee benefits and assistance programme, pension and life assurance schemes.

Join us and you’ll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring out the best in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
