As a Customer Interaction Assistant, you will be highly organised and able to think on your feet.

You’ll be confident in providing knowledge and insights to support decision making, and will be a great multitasker; remaining calm under pressure and delivering work on time, in budget, and to a high standard. You’ll manage the accurate flow of information in and out of the department in an efficient and discreet way.

Importantly, you’ll be a strong communicator who can nurture great relationships and act as the ‘go to’ person for Customer Interaction teams and the wider Business.

We now have a fantastic opportunity available for a communications professional to join our Corporate PR/Communications team at Aldi.

You will support the management of our proactive communications programme and deliver exciting campaigns in partnership with our PR agencies. From opening news stores across the UK to hitting sustainability milestones, you will help to tell Aldi’s story of growth, innovation and success.

Working collaboratively with every department across Aldi, you will be responsible for effectively communicating exciting business news to media and customers.

Your New Role:

 

  • Supporting the management of the proactive communications programme – actively seeking news stories from across the business, writing press releases, and ensuring they land successfully with media and customers
  • Delivering and managing wider Aldi campaigns
  • Proactively managing the communications for our new store openings programme
  • Occasional event management
  • Liaising and building strong relationships with key stakeholders of all levels across the business, including our Sustainability, Social Media, Marketing and Buying Teams
  • Managing our agencies to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of materials
  • Proactively managing potential risks to Aldi
  • Monitoring and controlling adherence to deadlines
  • Coming up with proactive ideas and campaigns
  • Assisting with the creation of briefs and communications materials
  • Supporting the delivery of the departmental strategy as required

 

About You: 

 

  • A PR/Communications/Journalism background
  • Relevant Marketing, PR, or Journalism qualifications
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience working for an in-house PR team or in Journalism
  • Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
  • Able to investigate, analyse and challenge appropriately
  • Able to manage a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a wider team
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proactive and able to use initiative
  • Professional work experience in Communications/PR
  • A good eye for a news story
  • A positive attitude
  • Confident communicator
  • Able to manage a varied workload and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a wider team
  • Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
