As a Creative Strategist – Digital Storytelling Lab, you’ll report to the Executive Creative Director (ECD) of the Digital Storytelling Lab. Its charter is to drive high quality creative outputs, in the creation of customer-centric marketing assets. This team will work in close partnership with our channels (web, social, paid, etc) to understand creative asset needs, and will work with our agency partners to execute outstanding creative solutions. You will also work with integrated marketing teams, getting input on creative asset needs and leading cross-channel execution. You’ll be accountable for the delivery of content maps and creative assets in a fast-paced, strategic, and highly collaborative studio. Your creative output will deliver assets for our digital marketing campaigns, like core campaign concepts, video content, visual graphics, long-form ebooks, and much more.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years work experience at a branding agency or with product marketing, brand building, and/or strategy development.
  • 6+ years in a creative strategy role AND a certification, degree, or training in Marketing, Design, Visual Communications, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience working from briefs and translating creative direction and messaging into compelling creative.
  • 2+ years experience in a technology-related content domain/area.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications,
  • OR related field.
  • 6+ years creative strategy experience, which could include brief writing and/or managing strategy on the corporate or agency side.
  • 6+ years experience managing projects (e.g., internal stakeholder management, timelines, prioritization, road mapping).
  • Expertise in digital marketing and creative execution for a consistent customer journey across channels.
  • Creativity and a consistent record in delivering innovative marketing approaches.
  • Experience using data to innovate on creative outputs.
  • Ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects across multiple teams with grace and flexibility.
  • Experience and demonstrated success marketing to developers, pre-sales, and executive audiences in the technology industry.
  • Understanding of the creative process and the ability to work collaboratively to land the best message for customers.

Brand IC4 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 – $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 – $213,200 per year. As a Creative Strategist – Digital Storytelling Lab, you are an:

 

Experienced creative strategist. Your background might be design, brand strategy, planning in a creative agency, marketing strategy, integrated marketing, or another marketing discipline. You have demonstrated experience in developing on-strategy, creatively innovative digital content. You have the flexibility to partner with creative teams, agencies, and business stakeholders.

 

Collaborator. You can work in highly matrixed organizations across marketing, engineering, and business operations, taking others’ perspectives with an open mind. Sometimes you’ll be driving strategy through execution; other times you’ll draft off existing channel strategies to help create outstanding creative assets. You’ll have excellent judgment in applying your skills to each situation.

 

Program manager. You can manage delivery of multiple projects at once, juggling priorities and resources against business needs. You’re organized and sweat the details, and you can manage budgets across multiple projects and vendors. You’re not afraid of a fast pace, and you can turn ambiguity into a clear and actionable process.

 

Audience-obsessed. You’re laser-focused on your audience and their needs and interests.
