Salary£25,000 – £27,000LocationEtihad Campus, Manchester M11 3FFContract typePermanent (Full time)Closing date20 March 2024Job DescriptionAn exciting new position at RL Commercial offers the post-holder the opportunity of responsibility in maintaining and updating RL Commercial’s Multimedia Asset Management system (MAM). Built to house the digital archive of the sport, the platform will be key in the effective future promotion and commercialisation of Rugby League.
You will assist in building the digital archive and liaise with key stakeholders around the sport to ensure the availability of content when required.
Working alongside the Head of Broadcast and Head of Content Production, you will have a good working knowledge of video editing and production, cataloguing and storage solutions.
It is expected the post-holder will build close working relationships with RL Commercial broadcast partners and support the Head of Broadcast where required in delivering a best-in-class service to our partners.
Key responsibilities

Management of RL Commercial’s Multimedia Asset Management system, ensuring content is ingested, logically collated, tagged and organised.

Work with RL Commercial’s broadcast partners to ensure timely delivery of match and ancillary footage.

Facilitate content requests from internal and external stakeholders.

Work with the platform providers to develop the MAM and it’s functionality.

Work with Head of Broadcast and Head of Content Production to ensure the right permissions are granted to the right partners on the MAM.

Assist the Digital team in the creation of social video content utilising the MAM.

Work with the Commercial and Partnerships department to build and develop a branded content strategy, highlighting opportunities. Facilitate the content required for such opportunities alongside the current sponsored content deliverables.

Liaising with IMG Digital to ensure relevant content is delivered to athletes in a timely manner.

Work with Head of Production to ensure the MAM archive is updated with both current and historical content.

Creation of archive and on-demand video assets for SuperLeague+, RL Commercial’s Direct to Consumer OTT platform
Key skills

Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Premiere Pro

An understanding of different video codecs

Pervious experience of working with a MAM or similar

Pervious experience of working in a content production environment

A knowledge of the Rugby League

Remuneration: plus company benefits. This role is full time and based in Manchester, however due to the nature of the role, travel and flexibility with hours may be required. RL Commercial encourages a flexible and hybrid working environment.
