As the Retail Ecommerce Marketplace Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the expansion and management of our ecommerce marketplace presence across all retail locations within the company. You will collaborate closely with the USA Ecommerce Director and the Retail Store Director to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our retail operations. Leading a team and working closely with third-party developers, your primary focus will be to design, launch, and optimize our ecommerce marketplace, driving increased sales and customer engagement.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

 

  • Ecommerce Marketplace Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive ecommerce marketplace strategy, aligning it with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team responsible for website design, development, and maintenance, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and project deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and IT, to integrate the ecommerce marketplace with various operating systems and processes within the organization.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Work closely with third-party developers and technology partners to facilitate the seamless integration of ecommerce solutions and enhance website performance.
  • Marketplace Rollout: Oversee the successful rollout of the ecommerce marketplace across all retail locations, ensuring consistency and alignment with the brand’s image and standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze website performance and user behavior to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to increase conversion rates, user satisfaction, and sales.
  • Content Management: Ensure that product listings, descriptions, images, and other content on the ecommerce marketplace are accurate, up-to-date, and effectively optimized for search engines.
  • Budget Management: Manage the ecommerce marketplace budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions that maximize return on investment.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track KPIs, provide insights, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the ecommerce marketplace’s performance.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure that the ecommerce marketplace complies with relevant laws and regulations and maintains robust security measures to protect customer data.

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, ecommerce, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in ecommerce management, marketplace development, or a related role within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, website development, and third-party integrations.
  • Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and team leadership.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and with external partners.
  • Knowledge of SEO and online marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce software and content management systems.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving retail landscape.
  • This role involves a combination of office work, on-site training at retail locations, and remote work as necessary.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate training schedules.
  • Travel to different retail locations across the USA may be required.

 

California Base Pay Range: $71,439 – $117,875

Colorado Base Pay Range: $67,867 – $108,052

New York City and Westchester County Base Pay Range: $71,439 – $117,875

Washington Base Pay Range: $71,439 – $112,963

 

At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
