The Senior Editor will be responsible for the post-production delivery of all JMGs commercial partnerships and driving standards across the rest of the business. Making sure they are edited, graded and sound mixed to the highest standards and in a way that will best engage audiences across all our social channels.

Starting salary:

46k

Requirements:

5+ years experience working in video post-production, ideally on branded content. Must have experience editing projects from start to finish and also working collaboratively on larger projects, briefing and be confident providing feedback and upskilling the rest of the team.. Must be a creative thinker who pushes boundaries, tries new things and constantly wants to improve.

 

Responsibilities:

– You will manage the post-production workflow and delivery for all commercial campaigns.

– You will make sure standards are upheld and maintained across the commercial output in regards to post production.

– You will be comfortable working alongside campaign PDs or on your own to ensure edit timelines are met.

– You will keep production management updated on progress and raise any issues early.

– You will have a deep understanding of the adobe suite and be able to deliver high quality social first videos for JMG’s channels while keeping current on latest video trends

– You will also have an understanding of audio and how to correct a range of issues from audio levels, wind noise etc.

– You can colour correct scenes or match between cameras

– You will be exact on your export settings, labelling and storage of projects.

– You will be up to date with all emerging editing techniques, plugins and technology and be the driving force for innovation within the business.

– You will be confident in providing feedback and mentoring to junior members of staff to impart your knowledge and skills and develop others within the business.

– You will have a working knowledge of After Effects and be confident creating and editing motion graphics if needed.

– You will be a fantastic time keeper and even better at communicating where you are in projects, working alongside the wider team for support and to give support to those who need it.

– Be fast, accurate and and work will to a written treatment

– Be able to switch from a commercial mindset to an editorial one. Giving video support to the wider team when necessary

– You will have a passion for video and always be suggesting new creative approaches to filming and editing.

– You will be solutions focused, able to think on your feet and offer alternatives to any issues.

– You will be a champion of the JMG brands, know what it stands for and what our users want to see.

– You will need to be someone who can deal with change, different workloads and being able to manage a couple of projects at a time.

CONSIDERATION: Applicants should be aware that whilst this is a Monday – Friday role, there will often be occasions where shoots are on the weekends and evenings. Time off in lieu will be given in accordance.
