About the role:  
Talkiatry’s Marketing team is seeking a Senior Brand and Communications Manager to lead brand and influencer partnerships, develop brand positioning insights, manage public relations and internal communications, and oversee reputation and community management. Reporting to the VP of Content, this role will collaborate closely with the rest of the Marketing team’s Content and Growth teams, the Design team, the Clinical team, the Executive team, brand partners, and agencies. Most importantly, the Senior Brand and Communications Manager will constantly evaluate and evolve why, how, when, where, and through whom Talkiatry communicates with prospective and current patients, psychiatrists, and partners, so that we can make the greatest possible impact on the mental health crisis.
You will: 
  • Brand positioning: inform our creative and communications strategy by identifying opportunities in the market and gaps in our approach, including by analyzing internal and external data sets, interviewing patients and psychiatrists, and studying competitor positioning
  • Partnerships: lead marketing partnerships with health partners, brand partners, influencers, and other external spokespeople
  • Public relations: support our PR function by collaborating with our agency and Executive team
  • Internal communications: collaborate with our People team on internal content designed to increase employee affinity and retention
  • Reputation and community management: oversee owned and third-party reputation channels, including social media and review sites, and manage tools that automate responses and report on trends
  • Creative: collaborate closely with our creative team to bring partnerships, PR, internal comms, reputation management, and brand positioning projects to life
Desired Competencies: 
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills: when you encounter a new problem, you pore over it until you solve it, and can offer multiple ways forward
  • Top-tier writing and editing skills: you can dash off a compelling social caption to promote news, write a lengthy all-company email for an executive, edit an award submission, craft an influencer script, and put together a business case for a new initiative without being edited yourself (please include links to writing samples or a portfolio if you have one)
  • Ability to work independently balanced with a love of collaboration: you can spend one week working through a complex proposal, and the next week rallying a cross-functional team to execute it
  • Passion for connecting people with the mental healthcare they need
You Have: 
  • BA/BS in marketing or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, communications, public relations, partnership marketing, or the equivalent in fast-paced digital environments
  • Experience managing brand partnerships, influencers, executive teams, creative teams, and agencies
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative insights to inform brand positioning and creative/communications strategy
  • Track record of compelling strategic work and hands-on execution: this is an all-in-one role that requires deep thinking and direct contribution
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Startup experience is a plus

  • Compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000, depending on experience; actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, location, as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
