We are looking for a part-time Marketing Assistant to support our marketing and communications efforts, helping to further increase our reach for 30 hours per week. Whilst the role will focus on events, internal communications, research support and recruitment marketing, there will also be a lot of scope to contribute to creative briefs and PR angles.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the full marketing mix, a proven track record of executing research tasks and be driven and self-motivated.

About the role 

Event Coordination

  • Find the best trade shows to attend and organise everything needed for our stand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events including coordinating logistics and overseeing post-event evaluations
  • Negotiate the best rates on trade stands
  • Monitor and analyse event performance to optimise future event attendance
  • Lead on all internal events, from arranging team get togethers, logistics for team training days, Christmas parties and the company annual away day/s
  • Organise B2B webinars

Recruitment Marketing

  • Work closely with the HR team to develop and implement effective recruitment marketing campaigns to attract top talent
  • Create engaging content for job postings, social media, and other recruitment channels to enhance the company’s employer brand
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person recruitment events, job fairs, and other activities to connect with potential candidates

General Marketing Support

  • Own and draft internal communications for our monthly team newsletter and build content to drive culture and employee engagement, posting regularly in internal channels
  • Report on the success of marketing campaigns
  • Find the best deals on marketing materials and facilitate orders
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for innovation
  • Research awards we should be entering and draft entries
  • Help with PR requests
  • Research the effectiveness of potential new marketing channels

About you 

  • You will have experience of working in Marketing ideally in a startup/scale up, where you understand the pace of delivery and working with sometimes ambiguous requirements. If you have worked for an online-first, digital or e-commerce business, even better
  • As event management will be a key element to this role, previous event coordination/management experience is required
  • You will have impeccable research skills, and be comfortable compiling and analysing data from various sources
  • A dab hand at building content with faultless copywriting skills
  • Familiarity with recruitment marketing strategies and tactics would be a plus
  • If you speak another European language that would preferable
  • Experience using Salesforce, Slack and Google Analytics is a bonus
  • Personable with a good telephone manner
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently on projects
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms and technologies
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Salary: 25-28k based on a 30 hour week  depending on experience
