The successful candidate will work with various teams across the Prevention and Safety program and the Red Cross to help lead and develop cutting-edge marketing programs across a range of platforms, inspire our customers, to train participants in our courses and increase income generation.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a marketing strategy as well as initiatives in the digital field in order to optimize the conversion and loyalty rates of our customers and participants in our training.
  • Define the objectives and strategic priorities of the program, in close collaboration with the management of the program
  • Prevention and Security and the Business Development team, and under the supervision of the Deputy Director, Digital Product Management.
  • Work closely with project teams and external agencies to develop and implement relevant strategies for given campaigns and paid channel analysis (strategies for cost-per-click advertising campaigns, advertising paid on social media, remarketing).
  • Prepare marketing briefing sessions and facilitate kickoff and planning meetings with Scrum team members responsible for marketing, communications, creativity, content and web development.
  • Provide the Scrum team responsible for web development with UTM tracking codes for campaigns as well as activity tracking codes for Google Tag Manager to leverage marketing intelligence and campaign results. Plan iterations of user interface and user experience updates for the course search function, the My Red Cross portal and the learning management system (LMS) platform.
  • Design experiments using A/B testing and conduct trials to verify marketing effectiveness to optimize channels and drive growth.
  • Establish a roadmap for the implementation of a marketing analytics platform with a partner agency and with Deputy Director, Digital Product Management.
  • Manage the process from creation to implementation: list requirements, define key performance indicators, and drive execution.
  • Promote continuous improvement.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with channel leaders to leverage historical results and new data sets to identify, test and refine marketing initiatives.
  • Assemble a research file and develop decision files aimed at supporting future product ideas and collect comments and observations for alpha and beta test versions.
  • Prepare reports at the end of each project. Document lessons learned and ensure that they are communicated to those affected and used as a basis for future projects.
  • Participate with partners in initiatives promoting accessibility across the organization.
  • Participate in the development of processes within the Marketing team in order to achieve efficiency gains and generate more revenue.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive activities to identify threats and opportunities.

Required profile

  • Hold a post-secondary diploma or diploma in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field.
  • Have at least five years of experience in marketing in a matrix environment and at least two years of experience as a manager (supervisory role not required).

Working conditions

  • The majority of work will be done remotely in a clean and comfortable environment.
  • The successful candidate may be required to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • She may have to travel across Canada to meet colleagues, customers, stakeholders or off-site staff and managers.
